Summer Activities

Mason and Daddy going to hit golf balls... Tiger Woods in the making!
Check out his new kicks, just like daddy's!

Like Father, Like Son!!
A friend of ours gave us some catepillars, so we watched the chrysalides form and eventually turn into Painted Lady butterflies. We released 14 of them, one had wing deformaties and couldn't fly which Mason is holding in the picture! Mason got a kick out of checking on them every day and feeding them once they were butterflies. He was upset that we had to release them, but understood they had to find their mommy and daddy!

My cutie-patootie playing in the grass while we release the butterflies! He LOVES being outside. His new thing is to get on his car and roll down the driveway... not so fun for mommy! He's going to be my little daredevil!

Right as we released the butterflies. Some of them didn't fly away immediately.

Angel's Baseball Season

As you can see from the video, we are well into the baseball season. Mason is on the Angels and Dave is his coach! Surprisingly, this is going really well and Mason enjoys baseball a lot more than soccer. It is so cute watching Dave out there with 9 three year olds calling him Coach and him giving instructions on how to hold that bat and throw the ball. The team is actually pretty good. He has taught them to throw the ball to first base whenever they get it and they have actually gotten legitament outs!! We all know Dave has wanted to bench some of the kids that skip practice and then show up for the game, but he remembers they are only 3 and this is supposed to be fun!!! :) Of course we don't keep score and every kid gets a homerun with every at-bat! As Mason says, he's going to "smash that ball out of here!" On top of the 3-yr old baseball games, we have also made it to many Angels Major League games, so Mason gets a kick out of seeing the "same team" he's on. Jaxon on the other hand is more interested in the food and snacks he gets during the game... just like his momma!
