"Santa, Can I Ride on Rudolph?"

After Mason surprised both Dave and me by actually going up to Santa and talking to him, he wanted to know if he could ride on Rudolph. I'm not sure what Santa's answer was. He also decided that he wants Santa to bring him a "BIG TRAIN with a BIG TRACK that goes around the Christmas tree!" This was totally out of the blue... he has not mention a train one time and has never been into trains, so now I am on a mission to get a train so that Santa will not fail this Christmas! Wish me luck!
Mason's Winter Performance
Mason's Preschool put on their winter performance today. They had been practicing for so long and were ready to show off their talent to the parents... Reindeer ears...check, Jingle Bells...check, 1 crying kid in the group that will not participate... check! Well, that would be Mason this time!! My little reindeer was all smiles as he walked onto the stage and even smiled and waved to me. As soon as the music started, I think he got stage fright! Mason is the child being held by the teacher for the entire performance. He definitely won't make it in show business! I guess we moved out to California for the wrong reasons!!
"Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow"
Well, our mountains behind us have lots of snow and it's really low, so it finally makes it seem like Christmas in Southern California! They shut down I-15 (the main interstate to Las Vegas) because there was so much snow. It was below 40 degrees, rainy and windy on Tues and Wed, so we didn't get to see the snow until today.
How crazy with the palm trees in the front?!

The Making of a short & "stocky" Bader boy!!
Jaxon had his 6mth doctor's visit last week (yes, we are a month behind... that's what happens with the second one)! Let me just tell you, Dr. Ambrose wrote "BIG" on his stats sheet. We have another "CornFed" on our hands (as Grandpop likes to call them)! Jaxon Markham Bader, weighing in at 21lb 3oz and 27 1/2 inches...still 90% for weight and 50% for height!! When the nurse put him on the scale and had it on the 10lb, she quickly moved it up and realized, "Whoa, we are over 20lbs!!"
The doctor was very impressed at how outgoing Jaxon was, saying that most 7mth olds have figured out who the "bad guys" are, which includes him. Jaxon let him flip and flop him all over to check everything, the whole time looking and smiling at him. He was so suprised at how good he was through the entire examination. It could have been the dog bone he gave him to chew on!! Think I'm joking??!! He has pictures in his office of babies chewing on milk bones. He says they are the best teething food b/c they don't break into chunks and there is nothing in the ingredients that can hurt the baby. I was so surprised that Jaxon liked it and didn't want to give it up. I wish I had a picture of it b/c it was the funniest thing seeing him suck on a dog bone! So I guess I'll be buying dog bones, instead of Gerber teething cookies... just kidding!
The only other news he gave us was that his "strawberry" on his cheek is slowly starting to fade, but it will take a while before it totally disappears. Also, since the tearduct in his left eye is still not developed, he referred us to a pediatric opthamologist. He may have to get it probed (a wire down the duct to stretch it out)! Ouch!!
That is all the news on Cornfed III!

Bader Boys Update
It's been a while since I posted pictures and an update on the boys. I don't know where the month of November went and now only 17 days until Christmas!!
Jaxon is easily sitting up on his own and gets on his hands and knees and starts to rock back and forth. It won't be long before he starts to crawl and then I will be chasing him all over the house!! He has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom, with another one coming in. Let's just say he's getting a lot of use out of those teeth, both eating and biting!! When he sees a finger, he grabs it and pulls it in his mouth to chew on. His new thing is to suck on your shoulder and then bites down on it... yes, it hurts!! Mason gets a kick out of sticking his finger in Jaxon's mouth to see how hard he can bite!
Mason is enjoying everything about the Holiday season... except for Santa Claus! He said he wants to "give up on the presents" because he doesn't want to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas!! We put the Christmas tree up yesterday and he was so excited to help w/ the ornaments and lights and he LOVES seeing all of the Christmas lights. As we were driving around and saw a spiral christmas tree in the yard, he said, "Mom, look! A Swirly-Wirly!" Grammy gave him a Christmas countdown calendar and every day he goes to find a "surprise" in today's pocket!
I am so excited for this Christmas because Mason is finally old enough to be excited about all of the traditions and this will be our first Christmas with Jaxon!
Hopefully I will get November and December pictures up soon!
