The Making of a short & "stocky" Bader boy!!

Jaxon had his 6mth doctor's visit last week (yes, we are a month behind... that's what happens with the second one)! Let me just tell you, Dr. Ambrose wrote "BIG" on his stats sheet. We have another "CornFed" on our hands (as Grandpop likes to call them)! Jaxon Markham Bader, weighing in at 21lb 3oz and 27 1/2 inches...still 90% for weight and 50% for height!! When the nurse put him on the scale and had it on the 10lb, she quickly moved it up and realized, "Whoa, we are over 20lbs!!"

The doctor was very impressed at how outgoing Jaxon was, saying that most 7mth olds have figured out who the "bad guys" are, which includes him. Jaxon let him flip and flop him all over to check everything, the whole time looking and smiling at him. He was so suprised at how good he was through the entire examination. It could have been the dog bone he gave him to chew on!! Think I'm joking??!! He has pictures in his office of babies chewing on milk bones. He says they are the best teething food b/c they don't break into chunks and there is nothing in the ingredients that can hurt the baby. I was so surprised that Jaxon liked it and didn't want to give it up. I wish I had a picture of it b/c it was the funniest thing seeing him suck on a dog bone! So I guess I'll be buying dog bones, instead of Gerber teething cookies... just kidding!

The only other news he gave us was that his "strawberry" on his cheek is slowly starting to fade, but it will take a while before it totally disappears. Also, since the tearduct in his left eye is still not developed, he referred us to a pediatric opthamologist. He may have to get it probed (a wire down the duct to stretch it out)! Ouch!!

That is all the news on Cornfed III!
